Undertaker Explains Why He Thinks ‘The Streak’ Would Have Ended Sooner WWE

The Undertaker has explained why he thinks “The Streak” would have ended sooner.

When looking at the legendary career of The Undertaker, there might not be anything more synonymous and notable than “The Streak.”

The 21-0 undefeated streak “The Deadman” had at WrestleMania became one of the main selling points of the company’s biggest show of the year for nearly a decade.

Besides being known for his “Deadman” persona, many fans remember Taker for his “American Badass” character that showed a more “reality” based side of him, when he returned to WWE TV at Judgment Day 2000. At the time of the character change, he was 8-0 at WrestleMania.

Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker was asked if he thought “The Streak” would have ended sooner had The American Badass not come to life the way it did. He answered:

“I would have to think the percentages would be pretty high that the streak would have gotten broken sooner.”

“I don’t know that for certain, but the percentages, and my understanding of our business, tells me that would have been a nice checkmark on somebody that was coming up.”

“Little did we know that Steve’s career would be cut short. Little did we know that Rock was going to come off and become a big movie star.”

“I would have gotten fed to one of them, and it would have been the right thing to do,”

“The Streak” would meet its demise when Taker faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.
