Chants for a huge star broke out after the November 13 episode of WWE Raw after a new alliance struck with Judgment Day.
Beware that this article contains spoilers that haven’t yet been revealed on TV, including last night’s Raw
While the main event of Raw may not have seen Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso become Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, the American Nightmare was in a characteristically chipper mood as he addressed the fans in the Capital One Arena afterwards.
With Drew McIntyre having interfered in the match to cost Rhodes and Uso the titles, the show itself would close with Rhea Ripley and McIntyre shaking hands.
Highlights of McIntyre’s involvement in the main event can be seen below this news story.
He has since broken his silence on Twitter, with Ripley also providing some insight into what’s going on.
In video footage shared on Twitter from after the show, Cody Rhodes addressed the fans in Washington DC, saying:
“Well, spoiler alert, Jey Uso and I have friends, too.”
This would lead to a chorus of “Randy” chants from the fans in attendance.
Rhodes would go on to say that, loss aside, it was a “great night”.
It has been reported that Randy Orton’s return is “imminent” with the stated plan being for him to be at WWE Survivor Series, where he’ll even up the numbers against Judgment Day and McIntyre in WarGames.
The announcement of Orton’s involvement is expected to happen before Survivor Series so that fans don’t expect a “mystery partner” to end up being CM Punk when the plan is Orton.
The other matches announced so far are Gunther vs The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and Rhea Ripley vs Zoey Stark for the WWE Women’s Championship.
