Update On Dakota Kai’s WWE Status Following Recent Injury

The Women’s Tag Team Championship is currently in a state of limbo following a recent cursed championship defence.

The match saw Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defend the titles against Bayley and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL.

Following the match, the Championship was officially vacated due to Liv suffering an injury in the bout, but she wasn’t the only person to suffer an injury in the match.

Bayley mentioned in a promo to Raquel on SmackDown that Dakota also suffered an injury in the match, and she may be away for a longer time than Liv.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has confirmed that Dakota did in fact also suffer an injury during the match, and that prior to the announcement, her injury appeared worse than Morgan’s.

The new champions will be crowned on the May 29 episode of Raw in a four-way match between Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green, Bayley and IYO SKY and Raquel Rodriguez teaming with a replacement partner.
