There has seemingly been a major update on Naomi’s status with WWE following her and Sasha Banks’ walkout back in May.
Neither Naomi or Sasha have appeared on WWE television since they walked out, and WWE has now confirmed that Sasha has departed the company.
WWE and Sasha Banks came to an agreement to end her contract last Summer, with her becoming a free agent on January 1, 2023.
Sasha made her NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17 yesterday under her new name, Mercedes Mone, where she laid out IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI.
Sasha’s departure from WWE has led to speculation on Naomi’s future with the company, and we may now have a big update on where she lies.
Today, WWE confirmed Banks’ departure, when she was removed from the WWE roster page on WWE.com and was added to the alumni section.
However, Naomi remains listed on the WWE roster, seemingly implying that she is still under contract with the company.
WWE removing Banks’ profile but leaving Naomi’s listed would heavily imply that she will be headed back to WWE.
