A new report has revealed an update on a WWE Hall of Famer’s status with the company.
In January, WWE Hall of Famer Lita made her return to the company to aid Becky Lynch in her rivalry with Damage CTRL. This eventually led to her and Lynch defeated Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, marking her Lita’s title reign in 17 years.
On the April 10 edition of WWE Raw, Lita was attacked backstage ahead of WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.
Later in the show, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Becky Lynch and Lita’s replacement Trish Stratus to win the titles. After the match, Stratus attacked Lynch to turn heel.
Per PWInsider (via Cultaholic), WWE looks to have no current plans to use Lita moving forward. However, it would be wise to expect her to come back into the storyline at some point down the line.
Following her heel turn, Trish Stratus revealed on the April 17 episode of WWE Raw that she was the one who attacked Lita before costing Lynch the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
As previously reported, Stratus teased “something different” for her new character in a recent interview.
