Update On WWE Signing Former Reality TV Star

There has been further news surrounding WWE’s interest in signing a former Reality TV star.

It has been rumoured that WWE is interested in signing British independent wrestler Adam Maxted. Competing for the likes of World of Sport and Over the Top Wrestling, Maxted is also known for being a contestant on Love Island UK in 2016.

It is being reported that Maxted hasn’t put pen to paper yet. According to Inside The Ropes, Maxted hasn’t been backstage at NXT UK since the brand resumed operations, despite this being his rumoured future home.

Although Maxted hasn’t signed for WWE yet, things are looking promising for him, with a deal seemingly in his near future.

With some celebrity status after appearing on the second season of Love Island, Maxted became a key player in the UK independent scene. Competing on cards for IMPACT, OTT and WOS, Maxted is the current OTT Gender Neutral Champion.

There have been many recent signings to the NXT UK brand. As reported earlier this week, Millie McKenzie joins Rampage Brown, Meiko Satomura and Ben Carter and as recent UK Performance Center recruits.

Eli Drake was a recent high-profile signing for the NXT’s US roster. Now going by LA Knight, he is yet to make his in-ring NXT debut.
