VIDEO: Popular WWE Star Makes Return After SmackDown WWE

WWE Tag Team Champion Kevin Owens made his return after this week’s edition of SmackDown went off the air.

In the main event of the August 18 Toronto, Canada show, Edge defeated Sheamus in the Rated-R Superstar’s final match on his WWE contract.

With Edge’s in-ring future currently uncertain, the wrestling veteran emotionally addressed this uncertainty after the cameras stopped rolling.

Following this, GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci emerged to confront Edge.

Imperium made their way towards the ring, before Drew McIntyre’s music interrupted them.

McIntyre waited on the stage, before Kevin Owens’ music hit, with Owens making his return.

Sami Zayn’s music then played, and the trio ran down to brawl with Imperium.

Owens, Zayn, McIntyre and Edge ultimately got the upperhand on GUNTHER, Kaiser and Vinci and celebrated together in the ring.

You can watch a clip of Owens’ return below.

Kevin Owens hasn’t wrestled since the July 17 edition of Raw, when he and Zayn defeated Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio in tag-team action.

The Judgment Day attacked Owens on the July 24 Raw episode, writing him off TV to recover from a legitimate fractured rib he had previously sustained.

While Owens did get physical in the segment, it’s unclear whether he’s set to make a full return to the ring, or if this appearance was just a one-off in front of his home-nation crowd.

Sami Zayn has also been dealing with a legitimate injury, with the popular star now recovering from a bursa sac elbow injury.

Zayn recently shared an update on his condition, which you can read more about right here.
