Vince McMahon Allegedly Changed This WWE Creative Plan Just To Troll Fans WWE

While we’ve had plenty of news regarding Vince McMahon and scrapped creative plans recently, we all know this is nothing new whatsoever.

Speaking on the Ring The Belle Podcast former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax would reveal how Vince would pull off one of his trademark creative changes, just in part to troll the WWE fans.

This change came at Survivor Series 2018, where team Raw and team Smackdown would face off in the typical ‘brand warfare’ five on five tag match.

According to Jax, the original sole survivor for Raw the was set to be Sasha Banks, however, due to the incredible heat on Jax at the time following the infamous incident in which she would break Becky Lynch’s nose during a mass brawl, and thus rule Lynch out of the match, Vince decided to go with Jax.

Jax detailed:

“I believe it was supposed to be Sasha, she was supposed to be the sole survivor that night.

“We were in rehearsals, it was before doors opened, and the producer came out and said, ‘Vince changed it, Nia over’.

“It was the moment, I was still trending and that crowd hated me, oh they went nuts when I came out.

“So Vince was like, ‘No, Nia over’. It was a cool thing but it was one of those moments where I’m like, ‘s**t.'”

Jax would recently discuss her brief WWE return at the 2023 Royal Rumble as well as WWE’s decision to release new merch for her following the appearance, click here to find out more.
