Vince McMahon Comments On Hulk Hogan’s Passing

Vince McMahon has issued a statement following the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.

As previously reported, WWE icon Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea has passed away aged 71.

Following the news tributes have poured in for Hogan from fans and his former peers within the wrestling industry, with WWE also paying tribute to the former six-time WWE Champion.

Among the tributes to Hogan was from former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who hailed “The Hulkster” as the “greatest WWE superstar of all-time”.

McMahon wrote:

The world lost a treasure today. Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world.

He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon. “His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled – and made him the consummate performer.

He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved.

“He leaves us with one of his favorite expressions, “Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.” Today, we pray for him.”

Hulk Hogan stands among the most important figures in WWE history, propelling the company and pro wrestling to new heights of popularity in the 1980s with the phenomenon that was “Hulkamania”.

Hogan headlined seven of the first eight WrestleMania events, as well as capturing 12 world championships across WWE and WCW and winning two Royal Rumble matches.

Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, inducted as an individual in 2005, and joining again as part of the nWo faction as part of the Class of 2020.
