
Vince McMahon will reportedly make his appearance on tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown in character.
This all comes after WWE’s announcement that Vince McMahon voluntarily stepped back from his CEO and Chairman responsibilities following allegations surrounding a ‘hush pact’. You can read all the details and the full story at this link.
Per Alex Sherman of CNBC, a source has stated that Vince will be appearing under his ‘Mr McMahon’ character. Sherman wrote:
“Hours after the announcement, the WWE tweeted that McMahon would appear live on the company’s ‘Smackdown’ show Friday night on Fox. He will address the controversy, but do so in character as his traditionally ruthless ‘Mr. McMahon’ role, according to a person familiar with the matter who declined to be named.”
Stephanie McMahon has been named the interim CEO and Chairwoman of WWE. Vince will will retain his role and responsibilities related to WWE creative.
