If you tuned into last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, you’ll have noticed that there was no confirmation of a show happening next week.
Instead, when promoting upcoming matches, the commentators and screen graphics used the phrase “next Dynamite” rather than “next week”.
This is of course due to the coronavirus crisis causing worldwide uncertainty, and it feels like at any given moment things could take a turn for the worse even more than they already have.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW still does have next week in mind for for the next Dynamite, but didn’t want to confirm as such just in case.
Meltzer said:
“They are under the impression that they are doing another show next week, but they did not want to say next week because the way the world is we cannot guarantee next week.”
As for what those matches are, there’s a parking lot street fight between the Lucha Brothers and Best Friends, and a lumberjack match between Luchasaurus and Wardlow.
PWInsider is reporting that the Blood & Guts match is probably being pushed back and will not happen next week if a Dynamite episode does end up taking place.
