WrestleMania Match In Jeopardy Due To ‘Physical Issue’ With Top Star

WrestleMania Match In Jeopardy Due To ‘Physical Issue’ With Top Star WWE

UPDATE: Fightful Select has provided an update on the issue, noting that WWE creative were informed that Bray had an illness several weeks ago.

It appears as though a match planned for WrestleMania 39 may be in jeopardy due to one of the stars being out of action.

Bray Wyatt was advertised for last night’s WWE live event in Madison Square Garden, but did not appear on the show for reasons not know at the time.

In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), sources within WWE that are familiar with the situation and those who have worked with Wyatt claim that Wyatt is sidelined with a ‘physical issue’, with his return time being unknown.

Rumours had emerged online about Wyatt ‘walking out’ due to creative issues, but Fightful hasn’t gained any information that would confirm that, and haven’t been told that from anyone in the company.

Bray has been scheduled for other live events and SmackDown shows recently, but was also pulled from those due to the physical issues that WWE sources claim.

Bray was seemingly setting up a WrestleMania 39 clash with Bobby Lashley in recent weeks, with Lashley continuing the feud even though Wyatt was sidelined, which included a backstage segment on last week’s Raw show.

As of at least one point this past weekend, Lashley was not scheduled for tonight’s show.

WWE has sent the materials for both Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy to the site of SmackDown every week, but they have not for the past two episodes of SmackDown, with WWE telling Fightful that Bray hasn’t been planned for the creative for those shows, nor is he scheduled for Raw tonight.

Fightful will continue to reach out for more information, including the unconfirmed rumours of ‘creative issues’, which one source in the company has denied.

While not officially confirmed to be off, the status of the advertised bout between Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt is now completely up in the air.

We will provide more updates on the situation as they become available.
