WWE Addresses Seth Rollins Status After Real-Life Injury

WWE Addresses Seth Rollins Status After Real-Life Injury WWE

WWE has addressed Seth Rollins medical status after a real-life injury occurred to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Seth Rollins appeared to be injured during a match in the main event of this week’s WWE Raw (January 15) against Jinder Mahal.

While details have been sparse about the nature of the injury, WWE has officially addressed the existence of a concern with Seth Rollins.

In an advert for the next episode of WWE Raw (January 22) on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, Monday’s edition of Raw is set to open with Rollins.

Noting that Seth Rollins will open Monday Night Raw, he will ‘address his future as World Heavyweight Champion’.

Earlier it was reported that Rollins is believed to have suffered a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus, but it’s not yet known if he will require surgery, though the hope is that he can avoid it.

He’s likely to be out for a few weeks at the very least, but there’s a chance he could be back in time for WrestleMania if surgery isn’t required.

Also set for the episode of WWE Raw, a face-to-face between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk as the pair are on a collision course for the Royal Rumble.

While Rhodes and Punk may have never tangled in AEW, they have some Royal Rumble history.

The last time the pair competed against each other was in the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble, which was Punk’s last match before leaving WWE that time around.
