WWE Star Criticizes ‘Selfish’ Crowd At Backlash 2024 WWE

WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller has criticised the crowd at the WWE Backlash premium live event, calling fans “selfish”.

One of WWE’s biggest takeaways from Backlash weekend was that fans in Lyon, France were insanely passionate about the product.

Across the kickoff press conference, SmackDown episode and Backlash premium live event, the French crowds were incredibly loud, making the atmosphere for every show in the territory electric.

One person who predictably wasn’t a fan of this atmosphere was Grayson Waller, who has taken to Twitter to argue that the fans who attended Backlash were “very selfish”.

Waller tweeted:

These French fans really making this show all about themselves- very selfish #wwebacklash

While Waller often criticises international WWE events that don’t take place in his home country of Australia, the rising star has been involved in several big segments away from the US.

He notably confronted John Cena at Money in the Bank 2023 in the UK, when Cena was pitching for a WrestleMania event in London.

With London mayor Sadiq Khan recently stating that he hopes to bring the Show of Shows to England, Waller has shared his thoughts on the possibility of an international WrestleMania event.

It has now been confirmed that WrestleMania 41 will take place on April 19 and 20, 2025 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

The real reason for this event taking place during Easter weekend has been revealed, which you can read more about right here.
