WWE Star Banned From Using Popular Catchphrase WWE

An update has emerged on WWE no longer using a popular star’s catchphrase after fans noticed something during Raw last night.

After winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso were in high spirits on the post-Fastlane press conference.

After seemingly spontaneously shouting ‘yeet’ during the media conference, Jey began to use this phrase more on WWE TV, eventually getting it over as his catchphrase.

Well, it appears that Jey Uso will ‘yeet’ no more.

During a video package hyping up Jey Uso vs Seth Rollins on the December 4 edition of Raw, Jey Uso’s Yeet t-shirt was blurred out.

You can view the show with Jey Uso’s blurred merchandise below.

Following this, WrestleVotes reported that Jey Uso won’t be associated with yeet anymore on WWE TV due to trademark issues.

WrestleVotes tweeted:

As evident on RAW just now, I’m told WWE has found trademark issues with Jey Uso’s “Yeet.” The word & merchandising will no longer be associated with Uso going forward.

As of writing, the Jey Uso Yeet t-shirt is still listed on WWE Shop, but only 4XL and 5XL sizes are available.

Jey Uso ultimately came up short when challenging for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Raw.

Following the competitive match, Drew McIntyre attacked Uso, slamming him through the announcer’s table.

McIntyre has now mocked Jey Uso following the show, which you can read more about right here.
