WWE has recording an incredibly high live gate figure for its UK-based premium live event WWE Clash At The Castle.
The premium live event, which was held in Cardiff, Wales on September 3, was the first major WWE televised live show to be held in the UK since SummerSlam 1992.
WWE reported their third quarter earnings call earlier today, in which the live gate figure for WWE Clash at the Castle was officially revealed at an astonishing $8 million.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics tweeted the following regarding the extraordinarily high live gate:
“Clash at the Castle appears to have drawn an $8.0 million live gate. WWE reports $8.0 million in international ticket sales for the quarter.
“Clash at the Castle was the only international live event during the period.”
WWE Clash At The Castle saw Roman Reigns retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against challenger Drew McIntyre, after interference from Solo Sikoa.
The event also featured an acclaimed bout between Sheamus and Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, in which the incumbent Gunther retained. The match was only the second ever main roster WWE match to receive a five star rating from wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer in more than a decade.
WWE’s next international premium live event, WWE Crown Jewel, will be held in Saudi Arabia this coming Saturday, November 5.

The success of the show has led to reports that WWE is considering an annual show in the United Kingdom.
