A top WWE star has teased the release of merchandise themed around their injury that took them out of in-ring action for around seven months.
Following his victory in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match on January 28, Cody Rhodes address the plans in the post-show press conference, saying:
“Please don’t get irritated with the amount of merchandise that’s going to come out around that pec, ’cause by god, y’all … if you thought my AEW figures were bad, whew, we’re buckling up.
“It’s really cool, but I hope people don’t get too annoyed with it.”
In the press conference, Cody would also reveal that he hasn’t watched his WWE Hell in a Cell match from June 2022.
He would, however, praise Seth Rollins, saying:
“I went out and I was in there with an unbelievable wrestler in Seth Rollins, an unbelievable Superstar.
“I’m glad people like it [the match with Rollins].”
Before he was scheduled to compete against Rollins, Rhodes suffered a pectoral muscle tear and recently apologized for the injury.
His return for the Royal Rumble was reportedly announced before he was medically cleared.
