WWE have taken to their Twitter account to confirm that New Day’s Big E has “suffered a torn meniscus” and is “not medically cleared for action”.

This comes after the former Smackdown Tag Team Champion hinted earlier today that he would be taking some time off to recover from an injury, with Big E tweeting he was “making mincemeat of my meniscus”.

WWE have not indicated how long Big E will be out of action for, if he will require surgery, or if he is going to be off the road and off TV while he is recovering. We will share more information when it becomes available.
