WWE Divisional Breakdown: Raw, April 30, 2018

Women’s Division

The Women’s division for the flagship show did not see the screen until the second hour when Sasha Banks took on Ruby Riott. They had a solid TV match, which demonstrated the benefits of having friends in your corner. The Riott Squad’s interference was well-timed, and it made them feel like a credible threat.

Elsewhere on the show, Alexa Bliss continued to build her feud with Nia Jax. Her “Moment of Bliss” segments are incredible, and are an effective way to build the feud, without needing the women to come together.

Completing the triad of Women’s segments on the night, Natalya defeated Mickie James. Natalya had Ronda Rousey in her corner, while James was supported by Bliss. The friendship between Rousey and Natalya, as well as Rousey’s seemingly impending feud with Mickie, serves as a nice secondary storyline to the championship. Speaking of, Nia Jax came out after the match to chase off Bliss.
