WWE Divisional Breakdown: Raw, April 30, 2018

Men’s Main Event Division

As it is most weeks, the men’s main event scene was the centerpiece of Monday Night Raw last night. And although much of the talent involved could easily be classed in the midcard division (here’s looking at you, Jinder), they were the main focus of the show. After interrupting Roman Reigns during his show opening promo, Mahal, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens drew the ire of Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman, respectively. This, of course, set up a 6-man tag team main event involving the 3 heels taking on the 2 babyfaces and Roman.  Even though the title was not involved in this scenario, aside from a quick mention in Reigns’s promo, it was clear that, at least on the babyface side, these guys are going to be the focus of Raw for the near future.

Oh yeah…the faces won by the way.

With the exception of the tag teams, every division got ample amounts of time this week on Raw. New storylines were set up, and feuds created. The Backlash card got more starpower, as Bobby Lashley & Braun Strowman vs Sami/KO was announced for the event. Though not an exceptionally strong go-home show, this episode of Raw was easy viewing.
