A teaser that aired teasing the return of an absent WWE star after over a year off television that you may have missed.
On last night’s WWE NXT show, Sexy BJ Ray from WWE Next Gen made his first appearance on NXT programming, when he was kicked in the head by Karmen Petrovic.
The segment aired when the show returned from a commercial break, but the show didn’t immediately cut to the segment like some may have believed.
Upon returning from the commercial break, a blank screen lingered for several seconds, with sounds of a person snoring playing over the top.
This brief teaser was clearly setting up the return of Wendy Choo, who has not competed on NXT television since a defeat to Elektra Lopez on the January 24, 2023 episode of the show.
Wendy recently made her in-ring return on a match taped for NXT Level Up on April 30, almost a year after she last competed.
Wendy was victorious over Wren Sinclair on the show.
