Dominik Mysterio Joins New WWE Faction

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio has joined forces and formed a new alliance at WWE AAA Verano De Escandalo tonight.

The main event of week one of the three week Verano De Escandalo event saw Mysterio team with El Grande Americano against Los Perros Del Mal’s Daga and a mystery partner.

Daga’s partner ended up being fellow Perros member Angel Garza, with the big story being whether Mysterio and Americano would be able to coexist.

They have teamed together in the past as Los Gringos Locos 2.0, but with a match between them at TripleMania coming up for Mysterio’s title, there were question marks over whether Mysterio would betray Americano.

There were even fans of the belief that Mysterio was the mastermind behind the recent reformation of Los Perros Del Mal all along.

That is not the case, but he has formed a new team with someone else instead.

The latter stages of the match saw Americano attempt to tag out to Mysterio when Mysterio dropped down from the apron and walked away, which led to Los Perros Del Mal picking up the win in a two on one situation.

As he left up the ramp, Mysterio was joined by his newest allies – Dorian Roldan and Omos of El Ojo.

Roldan and Omos had appeared earlier in the show as they interrupted Rey Mysterio and tried to convince Rey to hand Omos the Latin American Title that was vacated due to fellow El Ojo member El Hijo Del Vikingo’s injury.

With Rey refusing to do so, Roldan threatened that Omos would be “unleashed” in the coming weeks – which it seems was foreshadowing this new alliance.

It’ll be interesting to see if the alliance is still alive when Vikingo returns, as it was him that Mysterio beat to become Mega Champion back in September.

Elsewhere at WWE AAA Verano De Escandalo tonight, La Hiedra and Laredo Kid were crowned the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions as they won the title from Lola Vice and Mr Iguana.
