Mami will not be pleased! Dirty Dominik Mysterio lost his NXT North American Championship to another WWE main roster star.
Making an appearance at NXT Deadline tonight, Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio was uncharacteristically flying solo, without even Rhea Ripley at ringside for his title defense, nor any other members of Judgment Day.
At tonight’s NXT premium live event Deadline (December 9), Dirty Dominik Mysterio sought to hang on to his NXT North American Championship however it was not meant to be.
With Rey Mysterio watching along at ringside on commentary, after an impressive match it would be one final big move from Dragon Lee secured Dirty Dom’s fate.
Dragon Lee would capture the pinfall victory and become new NXT North American Champion.
The original challenger for Dominik was legitimately supposed to be Wes Lee, but he suffered an injury that will require surgery and it was decided earlier this week he couldn’t work the match, and Dragon Lee replaced him.
Next up, the NXT Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match featuring Fallon Henley, Blair Davenport, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend and Kelani Jordan who will join the match at five minute intervals.
Elsewhere on tonight’s NXT Deadline, CM Punk opened up the show with an in-ring segment with Shawn Michaels.
