An absent WWE star has been spotted working out with Hall of Famer The Undertaker, no doubt leading to renewed hopes of a return.
Having not been seen on WWE television since May 15, Elias last wrestled in the Intercontinental Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal prior to Night of Champions which was won by Mustafa Ali.
On June 10, Fightful Select (subscription required) reported that Elias’ WWE deal was set to expire in late 2022 with no update as to whether he had signed a new deal.
A good friend of The Undertaker outside of the ring, Elias posted a shot of the pair working out on his own Instagram Stories.
The image, which was posted on July 6, can be seen below this news story.
Previously, Road Dogg has described Elias as a “mishandled” character by WWE creative, saying that they should have been more consistent.
Elias had previously spoken about his appreciate of Rick Boogs, suggesting the pair could form a tag team.
