WWE Hall Of Famer Says Losing To Charlotte Could Ruin Two Men’s Careers

WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T has been going on a rant of late related to intergender wrestling. Obviously, this has been a topic for quite a while and has people who are arguing both sides.

However, with Randy Orton punting Ric Flair in the head on Raw this past Monday, many were calling for a Charlotte Flair vs. Randy Orton program. Booker T was not one of the people who felt like that would be a good idea.

Here is what Booker had to say on his Hall of Fame Podcast:

“It’s ridiculous, it’s nonsensical. Charlotte Flair goes and beats Randy Orton or Drew McIntyre, ruins these guy’s careers, forever. Now she has to go against Braun Strowman for the title. This is not Wonder Woman. This is making people believe they’re watching a simulated fight between two equals. Think about this, your sister has a boyfriend and her boyfriend beat the hell out of her. What are you supposed to say? ‘She should have fought back harder!’ It’s ridiculous. It makes no sense. If somebody put their hands on my mom or my sister, it’s going to be a problem. If anybody thinks it’s okay for a man to fight a woman, and it’s a fair fight, it’s a problem. Can you imagine Claressa Shields fighting Deontay Wilder? Look at it from that perspective. If you don’t understand it, I have wasted my time.”

He mentions people thinking they are watching a simulated fight and implies they wouldn’t believe it’s real. Hey Book, did you see the Eye for an Eye match? How about the one where Braun Strowman drowned?

I think WWE trying to promote their matches as “real wrestling” may have ended a while ago.

Thanks to Fightful for the transcription of the quotes.
