Hall Of Famer Pleads With WWE To Scrap Prime Ring Mat Sponsorship Plans

Hall Of Famer Pleads With WWE To Scrap Prime Ring Mat Sponsorship Plans WWE

A Hall of Famer has pleaded with WWE to scrap their plans to feature Prime as the ring mat sponsor for all Premium Live Events.

United States Champion Logan Paul announced on SmackDown that Prime would be WWE’s first-ever ring mat sponsor for all PLE’s going forward, beginning at WrestleMania 40.

While this will undoubtedly prove to be lucrative for WWE, it has been met with backlash from much of the fanbase, something Paul addressed on his imPAULsive podcast.

Following Paul’s response, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has taken to Instagram to send out a plea to WWE to scrap the plans.

Adding to what has been a prevalent social media trend since the news broke, Foley posted an image to his Instagram story of his legendary Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker at King of the Ring 1998, only this time with a Prime logo in the middle of the ring.

Foley captioned the post:

Please Don’t @WWE

Mat sponsorships are abundant in WWE’s now partner-company UFC, and WWE themselves have more heavily pushed sponsors in recent years, as was heavily seen at WrestleMania 39 with the likes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and at SummerSlam with C4 Energy to name few.
