WWE Hall Of Famer Discusses Potential Return To The Ring WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has discussed a potential return to the ring.

The Undertaker headlined the 2022 class of the WWE Hall of Fame after officially retiring from in-ring competition following his Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.

The Deadman had contemplated with retirement on several occasions over the last few years of his run, so many fans have wondered what is the likelihood of Taker having one more match.

Speaking on Hawk vs. Wolf, The Undertaker discussed the likelihood of potentially returning to the squared circle. He said:

“Absolutely. If I was physically able to do it, I would be out there right now. There is a huge amount of our fanbase that will grade you on a curve.”

“They understand that you’re getting long in the tooth, you have a lot of miles on you, but they just want you out there. Then there is one part of that fanbase, ‘Ah man, he’s old, he shouldn’t be out there, he shouldn’t be doing this.'”

“Without any hesitation at all, if I felt like I could go and deliver, and deliver a performance that people expect when they see my name on the card, I would do it, but I know I can’t.”

Since his Hall of Fame induction, Taker has done more podcast appearances and started his own one-man show, in conjunction with WWE premium live events.

On his transition from in-ring to the one-man shows, “The Phenom” said:

“It’s been a horrible transition. I don’t know that I’ll ever find a passion like I did for actually being in the ring.”

“I’m doing the one man show, and I’m enjoying that and it’s new to me, so I can pour myself into it again, but I don’t know if I’ll ever have that passion that wrestling gave to me. I watch the product and I’m like, ‘damn, I would have done that differently.'”

The Undertaker last appeared on WWE television at the Raw 30th Anniversary on the January 23 episode in a segment with Bray Wyatt.

As previously reported, Taker appeared during the Super Bowl LVII telecast in a Draft Kings ad with Kevin Hart and other celebrities.
