WWE has invited a recent sporting sensation to an upcoming show in the United Kingdom due to his musical link to the company.
The sporting world has fallen in love with overnight sensation Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler, who won the hearts of the entire United Kingdom during his Cinderella story at the PDC World Darts Championship.
At just 16-years old, Littler reached the final of the World Championship, defeating some of the sport’s greats before falling short in the final to world number one Luke Humphries.
While Darts fans were taken by storm by Littler, those wrestling fans among us had spotted his familiar walkout song, that being Pitbull’s ‘Greenlight’, which was famously used as the theme song to WrestleMania 33.
Littler spoke on BBC Radio One, where he revealed that WWE using the song for WrestleMania 33 inspired him to use the song.
Reacting to Littler’s run and walkout song, WWE’s official UK account invited The Nuke to the upcoming WWE show at London’s O2 Arena on April 19.
They tweeted:
Unbelievable run, @LuketheNuke180…
We heard #WrestleMania 33 inspired your entrance music on @BBCR1, so you’re officially invited to @TheO2 on April 19 when WWE rolls through London. We might even hit @Pitbull’s “Greenlight” for you!
The PDC World Championship final featuring Littler was the most watched event in Sky Sports history outside of Football.
