The Undertaker Opens Up About Urge To Return To The Ring WWE

The Undertaker has provided an update on his wrestling future following his retirement from in-ring action in 2020.

Following his Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36, The Deadman confirmed that this bout would be his last.

Undertaker had a retirement ceremony at Survivor Series 2020, before ultimately being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022.

Speaking with the Independent, The Undertaker opened up about the mixed emotions he feels when attending WWE events, noting that he feels like he should be preparing for competition when he’s backstage.

Recalling his WrestleMania 39 experience, he said:

“I’ve got to the point now where if I’m home, I’m fine. It’s when I do show up at a WWE event I get that ‘I should be getting ready’ feeling.

“At WrestleMania 39, I was there and I had my family and friends up in a suite watching the show and I kind of found myself rocking in my chair like, ‘oh, my gosh, I should be down there’.

“So in those instances, it’s there. It’s still in my heart and it’s in my brain.”

WWE star Omos recently named Undertaker as his dream opponent, noting that he wishes he had the opportunity to wrestle the Deadman.

The Hall of Famer previously shared high praise for the Nigerian Giant, touting him as a future star.

The Undertaker has been announced for several shows in the UK this summer, which you can read more about right here.
