WWE’s Lexis King Addresses ‘Buzz’ Surrounding His New Name WWE

WWE NXT’s newest arrival Lexis King (FKA Brian Pillman Jr) has addressed the “buzz” surrounding his new WWE name in a new interview.

Following on from his successful WWE debut Halloween Havoc Night One (October 24), Lexis King appeared on the gold brand yet again this week, only this time for a quick chat with NXT announcer McKenzie Mitchell.

King was first asked about how pleased he was regarding his debut win against Dante Chen last week and the impact he’s had on NXT thus far.

To which King answered:

“McKenzie I am always pleased with my performances and I’m very pleased that the name Lexis King has developed quite the buzz around here, seems like everyone has an opinion of me.

“But don’t get me wrong I’m used to it, just comes with the territory of being a star.

“But one thing’s for sure, that this is my life and I’m gonna start doing things my way.

“And you ask about that impact I’ve had, well just wait and see what I do next. Or better yet, what I’ve already done.”

The final remark from King seemed to trigger intrigue from Mitchell, who queried King, asking:

Mitchell: “What do you mean by that?”

King: “Well, McKenzie you’re just going to have to wait and see like everybody else.”

Fans online have begun theorising that King’s comments may have been in reference to being Trick Williams’ attacker from the October 17 edition of NXT, despite most signs seemingly pointing towards the perpetrator being Carmelo Hayes.

Williams confronted Hayes at the conclusion of Halloween Havoc Night Two, costing him his NXT Championship rematch against Ilja Dragunov.
