It was reported last week that WWE had made plans to hold a major event in India in January.
It was noted that, after reports of an international live event coming in January 2023, WWE would be heading to Hyderabad, India.
The rumoured date for the show was January 18.
Per PWInsider, that date has now officially been confirmed, and WWE will head over to India for a live event on that date.
PWInsider also noted that, while the show has not been officially announced, it is set to be a SmackDown branded event.
This event would be WWE’s first live event in India since December 2017.
WWE held a television special specifically for the Indian market, Superstar Spectacle, in January 2021.
The main event saw then-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre team with Indus Sher to defeat Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers.
