WWE Star Interested In UFC Move

WWE Star Interested In UFC Move WWE

Montez Ford of the Street Profits is interested in a move to UFC and has brought it up with higher-ups in WWE.

Ford is currently part of The Pride with Angelo Dawkins, B-Fab and Bobby Lashley, himself not unfamiliar with the world of MMA.

Speaking comicbook.com, Ford revealed his MMA ambitions saying:

“I don’t think people know, but yes, I was in the military and I was also a brown, almost a black belt in the military as well.

“Now not only do I have hand-to-hand combat experience, but I got life experience.”

He hasn’t kept the ambitions to himself, either, revealing conversations with Lashley, adding:

“Bobby said I would do exceedingly well especially because he knows my training regimen and my drive.

“He knows by getting some assistance in that area, I should do exceedingly well.

“I can throw hands with anybody here backstage, including this one [Angelo Dawkins].

“I don’t get tired unlike some people. I’m very motivated to do so.”

Ford also revealed that the conversations have gone beyond the locker room to the WWE President, stating:

“I even told Nick Khan, I said, ‘Hey, I know you’re doing all these crossovers, but if you need somebody to do another crossover and step to the octagon, I’ll be that guy.”

Ford would note that he’s open when it comes to weight class, saying that other fighters need to worry about “whatever weight” he decided to compete at.

Lashley had an MMA career that ended with a 15-2 win/loss record achieved between 2008 and 2016.

WWE and UFC were brought under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella in September 2023.
