WWE Name Files An Interesting Trademark For A New Nickname WWE

WWE name and former 24/7 Champion Drake Maverick has filed an interesting trademark for a new nickname over the weekend.

In February 2022, former WWE 24/7 Champion Drake Maverick, real name James Michael Curtin, was rehired by WWE as a member of the creative team.

Maverick was previously released from the company in November 2021 before his eventual return to a backstage role.

On November 26, Drake Maverick filed a trademark for a new nickname of “The Baby Jesus of Pro Wrestling.”

The trademark filing is “for entertainment purposes in the nature of wrestling contests.” The filing reads:

Mark For: THE BABY JESUS OF PRO WRESTLING™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.

It remains to be seen how Maverick will use this new nickname in the wrestling world as of this writing.
