With night one of WWE’s draft fully wrapped up following Friday’s Smackdown (April 29) and Saturday’s Smackdown LowDown (April 30), there has been an interesting insight into how WWE officials view one drafted star in particular.
NXT’s Zoey Stark had been long touted for a move up to the main roster, with her move to Monday Night Raw finally made official on the Smackdown LowDown.
While backstage reports suggest WWE had Stark earmarked for a main roster call-up for a while, we now have insight into their opinion on Stark prior to her move to the red brand and how WWE officials formulated their opinion.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required) ‘WWE officials liked Zoey Stark’s work’, during her appearance in January’s Royal Rumble, as well as her three different appearances on WWE Main Event.
Stark’s first appearance on Main Event came back in November 2022, where the 29-year-old would defeat Dana Brooke.
Now, five months later Stark has finally earned her spot on the main roster, with many others from NXT set to join her on Monday night’s including current NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell.
Following the news of her drafting Stark would react via Twitter, with a video of herself and other NXT stars reacting to the call-ups.
