An update has emerged on plan for the WWE Women’s World Championship that was vacated by Rhea Ripley on tonight’s Raw.
After making the heartbreaking reveal in the opening segment of the show that fan favorite Rhea Ripley was injured and thereby vacating her title, the plan to crown a new champion was revealed.
However, details were certainly sparse.
Ahead of tonight’s main event featuring Sami Zayn looking to defend his Intercontinental Championship in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec against Chad Gable, there was an announcement from commentary.
Michael Cole stated that a new WWE Women’s World Champion will be crowned next week on WWE Raw.
However, how exactly the champion will be determined was not specified.
There are plenty of shake-ups ahead for the stars of WWE’s Raw, SmackDown and even NXT as the 2024 WWE Draft is fast approaching.
Beginning on SmackDown on Friday, April 26 and continuing on Monday Night Raw on Monday, April 29, the 2024 draft will feature movement of stars from throughout the three brands.
