WWE Star Pokes Fun At Newly Debuted NXT Gimmick WWE

In recent months, a mysterious attacker has been seen attacking women backstage on NXT shows, taking them out of action to recover from legitimate injuries.

Recently, Sol Ruca was attacked by the mystery assailant following her recently diagnosed ACL tear, and we got our first look at the attacker on last night’s NXT show.

The vignette showed footage of all the attacks as the perpetrator sat with their back to the camera inspecting the aftermath.

The segment reminded a lot of fans of Mustafa Ali’s ‘hacker’ gimmick from 2020, which was ultimately scrapped shortly after it’s debut.

Ali still remembers though, taking to Twitter to react to the segment, poking fun at the similarities between his character and the new one, simply responding in jest:

GREAT CONCEPT!

NXT star Dijak, who joined up with Mustafa Ali as a part of the infamous group ‘Retribution’ under the name T-Bar, also joked about wanting no part should this character go down the same route.

He replied:

If you ask people to start dressing like this to sabotage the show please count me out, thanks.

Here’s a rundown of what happened on the May 9 episode of NXT:

Tiffany Stratton def. Gigi Dolin in the NXT Women’s Championship tournament

Mark Coffey & Wolfgang def. The Dyad to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship after distractions on the outside including a brawl between Ava and Ivy Nile

Duke Hudson def. Javier Bernal

Eddy Thorpe def. Damon Kemp

Ilja Dragunov def. Dijak via DQ when Dijak attacked Dragunov with a steel chair and continued the attack post-match

Charlie Dempsey w/Drew Gulak def. Tyler Bate w/Wes Lee after Joe Gacy came out and punched Bate

Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen def. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger

Lyra Valkyria def. Kiana James in the NXT Women’s Championship tournament

Bron Breakker def. Trick Williams, then continued to attack Williams post-match before Carmelo Hayes tried to make the save, but Breakker laid him out as well
