PHOTO: WWE Stars Pose For Hilarious ‘Powerpuff Girls’ Tribute

Three WWE stars, each of them an imposing presence, have been compared to the Powerpuff Girls, and fans have reacted.

It all seems to have started when a fan tweeted a photo from the WWE house show in Charleston in which Becky Lynch, Mia Yim and Shotzi teamed together to defeat Zoey Stark, Chelsea Green and IYO SKY.

The image would quickly be shared, but with comparisons to the Powerpuff Girls.

Mia Yim would retweet one of the comparison posts that can be seen below.

The comments underneath the posts are broadly positive, with some fans suggesting the trio become a faction and others being “there for this”.

This isn’t the first time that Becky Lynch has looked like a Powerpuff girl, however.

In July 2015, she shared an image on her Instagram account of herself, Paige (now Saraya in AEW) and Charlotte Flair.

For those unaware, the Powerpuff Girls was a Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and Cartoon Network animated series featuring a superhero trio of girls called Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.

The trio would use their superpowers to fight criminals and superpowered enemies in Townsville.

The original run of the series was from November 1998 to March 2005.

It would also get a 2002 animated movie and a 2006 Japanese spin-off series.

Powerpuff Girls would be rebooted in 2016 before coming to an end after three seasons in 2019.
