While one WWE star has been teasing a change to their look on social media, they ended up coming through on the promise tonight!
Sort of!
After many posts featuring an apparent throwback to her previous wrestling persona Kana, tonight when WWE star Asuka made her entrance on WWE Raw there was a notable change.
When she removed her signature mask upon entrance, she not only did not have the signature Kana makeup on, she had even less makeup on than usual!
Sans any of the recent dramatic dripping paint or even the more standard green stripe, there was no apparent face paint from the Empress of Tomorrow!
Asuka is face off against the Judgement Day’s Rhea Ripley in a match that commentary described as being requested by Asuka.
We’ll have to stay tuned to see if there are any further dramatic developments by the end of the segment!
