WWE Raw Star Has Suffered “Significant Injury”

Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, The Viking Raiders teamed with Ricochet and Apollo Crews to take on The Hurt Business in eight-man tag team action. Unfortunately, the match was newsworthy for a legit injury suffered to Ivar.

After taking a dive to the outside, the former Raw Tag Team Champion threw up the ‘X’ sign. For those that don’t know, that’s a way wrestlers and referees can communicate to the back that they/someone in the match is seriously hurt.

The severity of the injury was not known at the time, with WWE confirming that Ivar had been taken to the hospital. Although they did note that this was a precautionary measure.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we are going to be seeing Ivar wrestle anytime soon, as Dave Meltzer is reporting on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Ivar suffered a pretty “significant injury” on Raw:

“Nothing is for sure, but it has not been determined whether or not he will need surgery. It’s a significant injury, once you say that it tells you that it’s not like a stinger where you’re gonna come back in two weeks. It’s probably a lot worse than that. So, it’s not determined yet, but it’s absolutely as of today a possibility.”

Taking to social media, Ivar (formerly Hanson in NXT and on the independent scene) has thanked fans for their support following the injury. You can read exactly what he had to say by clicking here.

Everyone at WrestleTalk wishes Ivar a speedy recovery from this injury. We will keep you updated as any additional information surfaces regarding Ivar’s condition.
