A WWE Raw star out of action due to injury has been spotted training for a return with an update about when it might occur.
After a match against GUNTHER at live event in Columbus, Georgia in September, Ilja Dragunov was pulled from action. It was later reported on WWE Raw that he had “suffered a suspected torn ACL”.
However, despite initial reports suggesting that his rehab time was in the ballpark of “six to nine months”, it seems now there are indications that it may be shorter.
Fightful Select reports that it is believed that Ilja Dragunov could be back in action ‘sooner rather than later’.
Dragunov has been spotted training at the WWE Performance Center.
Rather than being at the Performance Center merely for rehab, Dragunov is said to be “taking part in traditional training ahead of his in ring return,” and also was specifically “not wearing any support gear” during training.
There was no specific return date noted for Ilja Dragunov however we’ll be sure to keep you updated with the details as they emerge.
