WWE Reaction To Rey Fenix AEW Tweets Revealed

WWE Reaction To Rey Fenix AEW Tweets Revealed WWE, AEW

The reaction within WWE to Rey Fenix’s recent AEW comments has now been revealed courtesy of a new report.

On Saturday, December 7, AEW star Rey Fenix took to Twitter to comment publicly on his current status, after his brother Penta El Zero Miedo’s exit from the company, and Fenix’s own AEW contract reportedly being extended well into 2025 due to injury time.

Fenix initially stated that he would soon get to “tell his truth” regarding his situation, before then tweeting “nobody stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment”.

Two days later, Fenix responded publicly to a report that described the former International Champion’s situation in AEW as “ugly” and a “huge injustice”, with Fenix stating that the information was the “most accurate” that he had seen.

He also tweeted: “I needed a doctor and you ignored me for months.”

With Fenix and Penta previously reported to be WWE bound once their respective AEW contracts expire, WrestleVotes provided some information on WWE’s reaction to Fenix’s social media comments on WrestleVotes Radio.

Detailing WWE’s “surprise” at Fenix’s tweets, WrestleVotes said:

“Hearing that there were those in the WWE that were surprised yesterday with the Rey Fenix tweets. Not to say that they’re not interested anymore, I’m sure that didn’t change, but there were some eyebrows raised over those tweets, especially if you’re going to put that out there publicly.

“I think WWE is going to do some digging into what’s going on……So that doctor one, you know, my phone started to buzz a little bit afterwards about just the surprise from a few WWE staffers that really didn’t have a pulse on to what may or may not be going on over there with Rey Fenix.

“So I just think it raised eyebrows throughout the whole wrestling world, and it did, certainly, you know, in Stamford.”

Fenix has since deleted all of his tweets regarding his AEW status, with the exception of “I will have my chance to speak the truth”, which is still up.

We will provide further updates on Fenix’s AEW situation and potential move to WWE as more information becomes available.
