WWE Referee Emotionally Reacts To WWE 2K24 Inclusion WWE, 2K Games

A WWE referee has celebrated their inclusion into WWE 2K24, revealing that they were “sobbing” upon seeing the official reveal of the upcoming video game.

In a full reveal from 2K Games on January 22, much of the important details on WWE’s next instalment of their popular game series were unveiled to the world; some of which were history-making for the series.

Not only is the deluxe edition of the game set to feature WWE’s first all female cover in series history, but the game is also set to feature the inclusion of the first-ever female referee to lend their likeness to the game.

Yes, in what appears to be a popular inclusion already among fans on social media, WWE 2K24 will feature actual WWE referees that we will recognise from TV, a first for the 2K series; finally ditching the generic ones used in past instalments of the series.

While older fans of WWE games may remember a time when former senior WWE official Earl Hebner featured in games such as 2002’s ‘WWE SmackDown Shut Your Mouth’, however it’s been quite some time since this feature was implemented.

In reaction to their appearance in WWE 2K24’s official trailer, female WWE official Daphanie LaShaunn would take to Twitter and attempt to sum up her feelings in an emotional post.

LaShaunn tweeted:

I literally just woke up and I’m sobbing. Imma have to collect myself but more thoughts will be shared later.

No, I’m not lucky, I’m blessed…YES

Not only will WWE 2K24 see the return of referee likenesses, but the game will also allow any WWE star to don the black and white stripes and become an official in the returning Special Guest Referee match type.
