There was yet another big return at tonight’s WWE premium live event, WWE Fastlane 2023 (October 7) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Tonight to sit in as a special guest commentator for the John Cena & LA Knight vs Bloodline tag match, a familiar face first made a big entrance in front of the thrilled Indianapolis, Indiana crowd.
Hometown hero Pat McAfee didn’t just appear in the show’s cold open introduction, he appeared live and in the flesh in another surprise appearance.
Known to make surprise appearances at major events as his schedule allows, there was some speculation that McAfee may be in attendance for Fastlane, and it turned out to be true.
Flying in from having previously covered the ‘Red River Rivalry’ game in Texas taking on Oklahoma, McAfee made it in time for the show.
McAfee not only appeared in an in-ring segment, he also made a pitch for Indianapolis to be a future location for WrestleMania, which seems to be becoming a regular tactic from WWE, with John Cena having done the same thing when Money in the Bank was in London, England a couple of months ago.
