Rey Mysterio Breaks Silence After Returning To WWE

WWE legend Rey Mysterio has revealed in a backstage interview that he is back and looking for payback after his injury.

After having been out of action due to injury since after Crown Jewel in November 2023, Rey Mysterio recently made his WWE return.

On last night’s March 15 SmackDown, he came out to the aid of Carlito and the LWO as they continued to tangle with Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma.

Upon his return on last night’s SmackDown it was revealed at Mysterio would have a singles match on next week’s show against Escobar.

As the ‘Road to WrestleMania’ continues, the feuding between the two factions does as well.

Humberto and Angel of LDF and Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO have gone to battle in the ring as of late.

Elsewhere, Zelina Vega and Elektra Lopez have brawled at ringside but have yet to have a match against one another.

On this week’s show, Legado del Fantasma advanced in bracket 1 for a chance to join the six-pack tag team match at WrestleMania 40 for the titles, after they beat Wilde and Del Toro.

They will next have to get through the New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne) in order to advance.
