WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has revealed she misses fellow SmackDown star Bianca Belair, having had a conversation at WrestleMania 42.

Absent from in-ring action due to injury since WrestleMania 41 last year, Bianca Belair would appear at this year’s WWE Premium Live Event to reveal that she is pregnant.

During an appearance on What’s Your Story? recorded before Belair’s big life-changing announcement, Rhea Ripley spoke about how much she is missing her long-time rival, saying:

“I miss her. She’s one of my favorites here. She’s one of the most genuine people I know, I love her so much…

“I’m so mad that she hasn’t been around, I’m now on SmackDown too, I’m like ‘Where’s my Bianca?’”

During Belair’s hiatus due to injury, the star underwent surgery on her finger, having revealed she suffered a broken knuckle, which complicates the recovery process.

Bring On Belair

Bianca Belair is enjoying time away from WWE, declaring that she has “completely fallen in love with being pregnant” in recent comments, having held a baby shower with her real-life husband, Montez Ford.

With pregnancy and the recovery journey from injury, Belair won’t be making a return to in-ring action any time soon, although there’s opportunities to restart the program she had with Ripley at the time of her injury when she does come back.

While WrestleMania 41 saw IYO SKY retain the WWE Women’s World Championship against Ripley and Belair, Liv Morgan has since captured the title, which remains on Raw. As for the WWE Women’s Championship, Ripley moved to SmackDown after becoming champion at WrestleMania 42 with a win over Jade Cargill.

With little news on when Belair is likely to be cleared for an in-ring return, it’s difficult to predict the direction of the Women’s Championship, although the idea of a return leading to a match against Ripley at a WWE Premium Live Event is an interesting one.

There’s also plenty of opportunity for Belair to keep her proverbial toe in the waters of WWE, particularly with the recent call-ups to the women’s division and the potential rivalries that could create.
