WWE SmackDown Star Wants Singles Match Against Tag Team Partner

WWE SmackDown Star Wants Singles Match Against Tag Team Partner WWE

A WWE star has admitted to being “spoiled” for choice when it comes to a dream opponent, though has his eye on a teammate.

Ridge Holland is one-third of the Brawling Brutes alongside Sheamus and Butch and is the member of the trio to have not held WWE gold.

Firm favourites in the tag team picture, Sheamus and Holland are participating in the Tag Team Gauntlet Match on Friday June 16’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

Alongside The Brawling Brutes, the match will feature Street Profits, the OC (Gallows & Anderson), LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) and Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) with the winner going on to face Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions.

Holland has recently heaped praise on Pretty Deadly and Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser, discussing their potential futures in WWE.

Speaking of himself, however, he addressed the subject of dream opponents in an interview with Cultaholic, saying:

“It is hard to pick because there is so much talent now that I want to test my mettle against.”

He would throw out some names, including a fellow member of the Brawling Brutes, suggesting:

“From Brock Lesnar to AJ Styles to Bobby Lashley to even Drew [McIntyre] to LA Knight to even Butch. I want to face Butch at some point.

“The talent is so abundant it’s quite scary, to be honest. We are spoiled.”

Butch is competing in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on July 1, 2023 at The O2 in London, England.

The match for a WWE Championship opportunity will also feature Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, LA Knight, Santos Escobar and Damian Priest.

Sheamus has recently explained why he feels that Ridge Holland should also be in the match.
