Popular WWE Star Praises Rivals With Bright Futures WWE

A popular WWE star has praised a handful of rivals that he feels have a bright future in the company in a recent interview.

Ridge Holland is one-third of the popular trio The Brawling Brutes, standing alongside Sheamus and Butch on WWE SmackDown.

In a recent interview with the Daily Star, the former professional rugby player discussed the talent of some of his key rivals in the company.

First, Holland discussed Ludwig Kaiser, often seen as the mouthpiece of Imperium, saying:

“As a performer he has spent years refining his act and I think he’s fantastic at what he does.

“People don’t realise the amount of self-confidence it takes to do what he does.

“He’s not afraid to take a back seat and put Gunther on a pedestal which is exactly what he has done.

“He is the hype man, but he can go. I’ve had many matches against him and he’s a super talented performer. He knows what he’s doing.”

Kaiser signed with wWE in 2017 and debuted under his real name of Marcel Barthel, featuring on NXT and NXT UK.

He would debut with Gunther in April 2022 on SmackDown, entering into a feud with the Brawling Brutes.

Holland’s praise didn’t stop with the Imperium member, however, as he turned his attention to a recent main roster call up.

Speaking about Pretty Deadly’s Kit Wilson and Elton Prince, Holland went on to discuss the flamboyance of the pair compared to the Brawling Brutes, saying:

“It’s so ‘opposite’ that it works, we have a definite chemistry there.

“They are so, so talented and it is good fun getting in there with them.

“Their antics are a bit of a throwback to old-school heels., [and] for British fans there is a bit of Frank Spencer and Monty Python about them.

“It’s refreshing and they’re up for anything. They have a bright future and I can’t speak any more highly of them.”

Holland would conclude by discussing the quality of the WWE roster, stating:

“I feel very lucky to be doing what I’m doing at this moment in time because of the amount of talent we have from the States, the UK and Europe all over Raw, Smackdown and NXT.

“We’re so lucky and it really does fill me with pride that these people get to show what they can do on a worldwide stage.”

The Friday June 16 episode of WWE SmackDown will feature a Tag Team Gauntlet Match with the winner earning a shot at the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship held by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

The match will feature The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus and Ridge Holland, in this case), Street Profits, the OC (Gallows & Anderson), LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) and Pretty Deadly.
