A pair of major onscreen WWE rivals have reportedly been working together behind the scenes in the company.
While tensions between WWE’s General Managers Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce have been evident on WWE TV, it seems as if the pair actually worked together on this past Monday’s WWE Raw (November 13).
According to Fightful Select, SmackDown GM Aldis and Raw GM Pearce would collectively produce the match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Otis on Monday’s show.
While this is interesting based on WWE’s on-screen angle between the former NWA World Champions, Aldis has been typically working alongside more experienced WWE producers such as Pearce since he began working with the company in August.
As the report also states, this is currently the case with WWE’s other new backstage producer Bobby Roode, who began the role around the same time as Aldis.
According to the report, Roode would work alongside Michael Hayes to produce the show’s main event match, that being the Undisputed Tag Team Championship contest between Judgment Day and the team of Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso.
Both Aldis and Roode did get the opportunity to solo produce two matches on WWE Main Event however, with Roode producing Apollo Crews’ bout with Tavion Heights, and Aldis producing Katana Chance vs Tatum Paxley.
