A former AEW star has now officially been added to the WWE roster, following his recent return to the company at WWE Royal Rumble 2024.
The January 27 premium live event featured several shocks and surprises in the Royal Rumble matches.
One of the surprises was the return of Andrade (fka Andrade Almas, Andrade El Idolo), who entered the men’s Rumble in the #4 spot.
WWE has now officially added Andrade to its roster page. Andrade’s WWE.com profile lists him as a current Raw star.
Andrade made an appearance on the January 29 episode of Raw to note that he intended to join the red brand.
El Idolo’s Royal Rumble return marked the beginning of his second run with the company.
The Mexican star had an impressive NXT run from 2017 to 2018, with Andrade holding the NXT Championship during his run on the gold brand.
He was then moved to the main roster, where he won the US Championship in December 2019.
Following his WWE departure in 2021, Andrade signed with AEW.
Wrestling as ‘Andrade El Idolo’ the popular star wrestled for AEW up until the end of 2023, with his final match for the company taking place at AEW Worlds End on December 30, 2023.
