Behind The Scenes Look At TNA’s Jordynne Grace At WWE Royal Rumble

TNA Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace made her presence felt in the WWE Royal Rumble on January 27, 2024.

Grace recently revealed that her involvement in the WWE PLE started with a call from Scott D’Amore, President of TNA.

On the February 1, 2024, episode of iMPACT!, we got a longer behind-the-scenes look at Jordynne Grace’s crossover moment.

As can be seen in the video below this news story, Grace’s mother comments on being shocked and surprised that the opportunity had arisen, saying:

“I know this has been her dream since she was nine years old.

“It was very important for me to be here today. My husband and her stepbrother came.”

Grace went on to say that she fully expected plans to change, stating:

“It didn’t feel real until I actually got my flight confirmation here into Tampa.

“I was like there’s no way this is going to happen. Something’s going to happen, something’s going to come up because it’s wrestling. Something always happens.

“But, today, now that I’m here and this is being recorded, it’s happening, right?”

The booking was so close to the day of the show that she wasn’t able to get new gear made, but she did represent TNA through her ring gear, going on to say:

“When this was told to me and it started to get set into motion, I was scared. Like, it wasn’t butterflies, it was more terror because this is huge for me personally and I feel like it’s such a big thing to be presenting TNA.

“I’m the only person who is going to be there representing TNA in front of 50,000 people live, millions of people worldwide, so I was scared.

“Today, fortunately, I feel very confident because I know all you can do is prepare and I feel very prepared to represent TNA.”

Part of that preparation included taking a bag of chicken as she knew that WWE catering has cookies and cakes, something she wanted to avoid indulging in.

Jordynne’s mother hoped she would “soak it all in”, knowing that she wouldn’t be nervous and “she would be fine.”

Grace would echo this, saying she was going to take in the moment and it might only happen one time.

She would also reveal that Gail Kim had contacted her about the “white belt” being on WWE.

Despite the importance of the moment, Grace revealed that a lot of people didn’t know that she would be appearing in the WWE Royal Rumble.

The video would end with Jordynne’s appearance, along with reactions, including an appearance from WrestleTalk’s very own team during the live party in London, England.

Also featured in the reactions was Gail Kim, sharing her joy that the belt had appeared on WWE and comments from Bayley and Triple H during the post-show press conference.
